1.What valves could be used with this electric motor acutuator?
a. Quarter turn valve - need to turn the valve stem 90 degree to open/close the valve b. With a ISO5211 mounting pad - F03/F05 c. The torque needed to operate the valve is lower than 15NM.
2. Can this valve actuator operate manually?
Yes, this actuator is equipped with manual override for event of an emergency such as power
failure.
3.Will the valve close in the event of a power failure?
For OP04 wiring, the electric motorized ball valve is designed to automatically close (its normal position) when power is removed or there is a power
failure.
4. What is NC/NO ball valve?
NC is short for normally closed, which means the ball valve is closed in its de-energized state. NO is short for normally open, which means the ball valve is open in its de-energized state. Unlike other wirings, when wiring OP04 is needed, it is important to figure out if NO ball valve or NC ball valve is needed, because the electric ball valve will auto return to its normal position when there is no power.
5. If the ball valve actuator can be used outdoors?
The actuator is rated IP67 or NEMA 4 equivalent, it is resistant to splashes and strong sprays. But we do advise a protective cover to avoid damage of extreme weather conditions.
